Welcome to the Lexington City Schools!

Our school division is a vibrant community of learners, educators, and families. I am inspired by the dedication and passion that each of you brings to our schools, and I am honored to serve as your Superintendent. I have worked in public education for 31 years and have served several Virginia school districts in the roles of teacher, instructional coach, principal, director, and Superintendent.  I live in Lexington with my family, and I am proud to work on behalf of our community's children each day.

Our schools take care of and educate over 500 students K-8 on our campuses.  We strive to build a supportive and dynamic learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive. We are committed to fostering academic excellence, encouraging creativity, and promoting emotional well-being. Our goal is to ensure that every child feels valued, challenged, and prepared for future success.

Our dedicated teachers and staff are working tirelessly to provide engaging and innovative educational experiences. We have exciting new programs and initiatives that aim to enrich our curriculum, enhance our facilities, and support our students’ diverse needs. We are also investing in professional development to ensure that our educators have the tools and resources they need to excel in their roles.

Parents and guardians, your involvement and support are crucial to our students’ success. We encourage you to stay engaged with your child’s education, attend school events, and communicate openly with our staff. Together, we can create a positive and inclusive atmosphere that nurtures learning and growth.
