Non-Resident Tuition Information for the 2024-2025 school year can be found below.

Tuition Payments

Tuition Payments for the 2024-2025 school year are due on August 1st and January 6th. For additional tuition information, please call Stephanie Burch, tuition coordinator at the Lexington City School Board Office at 540-463-7146.

Application Fee

Application Fee (non-refundable): $400.00 per family

Tuition Per Student

Due August 1st: $600.00 per student
Due January 6th: $600.00 per student
Total Per Student: $1200.00

Student Acceptance Procedures

Open Enrollment: 2024-2025 School Year

Grades: Kindergarten through Eighth Grade

Application Steps

Incoming Kindergarten applications will not be accepted until the day of the Kindergarten registration event.
Applicants will be time stamped at the time of signup for the Kindergarten registration event to maintain application order.
Applications for all other grades are available at the link above. Completed applications should be submitted to the school your child will attend.

Approval Steps

Preference will be given in the following order:

children of employees of Lexington City Schools
children of employees of the City of Lexington
children with siblings who are renewing non-resident applicants
new non-resident applicants

Acceptance is based on space availability at each grade level.

Lexington City School Board has final approval.

Approval Dates

Renewal applications - May School Board Meeting
Initial (new) applications - June School Board Meeting

Waiting List

Will be created for applications submitted after the June School Board meeting or at grade levels where available space is at capacity.
Applicants may be notified of status after July School Board meeting and then when openings become available.
